Anatolian Shepherd Livestock Guardians

Livestock Guardian Dogs

If You Have Livestock, You Need A Guardian

We've always had an admiration for the Anatolian Shepherd breed. They're one of many large guardian breeds, but we love their medium coats that offer protection without matting, their general appearance that keeps strange people and predatory animals at bay, and their desire to be the most loyal family member money can buy. This behemoth breed towers over our goats, but they're as gentle as can be with whatever they're defending; while it's their instinct to protect and serve. They are easy to train and work with, and are happy being cuddle bugs and proud family members. This breed has it all!

We house two working LGD's here on our farm, Doc (male) and Mattie (female). We are happy to announce our newest adventure; that we will soon be welcoming our first litter of livestock guardian dogs to the farm! Puppies will be available to working or adequate pet homes after they are weaned. We plan to breed every other year, starting in mid-January of 2022. Mattie is AKC registered, Doc is unregistered.

If you are interested in a Boofer Farms' Anatolian Shepherd Livestock Guardian Dog, please message us for more information. Puppies will be here before you know it and everyone loves a puppy!
